Introduction

Thank you for your interest in our student staff positions here at Cornish Commons. Below is a full guide on the positions we are hiring for and our application process and timeline.

Available Positions 

Please review the example contract for each position you are interested in. Contracts are meant to be a general overview of the role, and do not necessarily detail each aspect of the day to day tasks of the role. Staff will be assigned tasks as needed throughout the contract. These contracts are subject to change up until the contract signing date, any updates to the contract will be made known to applicants.

To best understand the roles, we require applicant attendance at one of our information sessions, see our timeline for more information.

You must be a student of Cornish College of the Arts and a resident of Cornish Commons to apply.

 

Application Timeline

Our application timeline works in steps, applicants must participate in all steps in order to still be considered for the role. Exceptions may be made if there are academic time conflicts.

 

2/23/23: Applications Open

  • All applicants should fill out the application here.

  • The application consists of answering some demographic questions and having the chance to submit a resume.

  • All applicants will submit one additional document to answer some short essay questions. The questions and instructions can be found here. 

3/1/23 & 3/2/23: Evening Info Sessions

  • On Wednesday March 1st and Thursday March 2nd at 7:30pm in the Commons 1st floor lobby, we will be hosting information sessions with Housing and current staff members. Applicants are required to attend at least one of these sessions unless there is an academic conflict. 

3/6/23: Applications Close at 9am

3/6/23 - 3/17/23: Individual Interviews

  • Applicants selected to move to the next step will be invited to an in person interview. 

3/20/23 - 3/27/23: Background Checks 

3/31/23Offers Sent

4/3/23: Offers Accepted or Denied 

4/8/23: Contract Signing Day
